Don Freeman Study Group: A new series Embracing Interfaith Cooperation (Coming Together to Change the World) led by founder of the Interfaith Youth Core Eboo Patel, will continue on July 26th. The course will conclude with the topic “The Role of Colleges, Seminaries and Houses of Worship.” This study group meets on Wednesdays at 10:00a.m. in the Fireside Room. A 7-week course, Mudhouse Sabbath will begin August 2nd. Everyone is welcome. Questions may be referred to Alan or Mary Jo Camagna.
The Vestry will meet on Wednesday, July 26th at 2:00pm in the Parish Hall. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
Mari Chesser, our Jr. Warden, is hosting a Weeding Party (no not a Wedding Party!) on Friday,
July 28th from 9am-noon. Help spruce your church grounds.
Br. Bill is offering a Day of Prayer on Saturday, July 29th, 10:00am-2:00pm in the Parish Hall. The theme is “Transition”..no matter the length of the road or intensity of transition, God is with us and calling us to new life. All are invited to attend. Please bring a snack or light lunch if you wish.

Sunday, July 30th is a 5th Sunday. There will be a Noisy Can collection to benefit Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics (VIMO for short.). VIMO is a volunteer-run free medical, behaioral health and dental clinic located in Port Angeles. They primarily serve low-income and homeless patients living in Clallam and Jefferson Counties.
Pastoral Care Training begins on Wednesday, August 2nd at 1:00pm in the Office Workroom.
There will be a three church picnic on Sunday, August 6, 12noon at Trinity United Methodist Church. The menu this time is a baked potato bar, chili, salad and desserts. Please sign up in the Parish Information Center if you can contribute any of the requested items from St. Luke’s (salad greens and toppiinngs for the potatoes).
Daughters of the King does not meet during the summer. The next gathering of this Priscilla Chapter will be on Tuesday, September 5th at Suzi’s house. Contact Suzi Schmidt for more information.
A REMINDER: Taize will be on hiatus in June, July and August.
The Women’s Spirituality Group is not meeting in the summer months.
Soup’s On needs cooks! If you are interested in making your favorite soup for the weekly Wednesday Soup’s On lunch, please contact Barbara Heckard by email at email@example.com. Also needed are monetary donations to keep this worthwhile ministry going.
Earth Stewardship is collecting aluminum cans for recycling. This project raises awareness of conserving our resources as well as raises funds for this ministry’s efforts. They need your help! Please add your rinsed aluminum beverage & pet food cans, baking pans and foil (soup cans are not recyclable) to the collection receptacles at the west end of the Parish Hall.
