The Don Freeman Study Group will continue on October 25th with author, historian and cultural observer Phyllis Tickle introducing the new series “Embracing Emergence Christianity“, The second session is entitled Where Now is Our Authority? Phyllis provides examples of shifts in religious beliefs and practices leading up to the 21st century. This study group meets on Wednesdays at 10:00am in the Fireside Room. Everyone is welcome, even for just one session. Questions may be referred to Alan or Mary Jo Camagna.
The Vestry will meet in the Parish Hall on Wednesday, October 25th at 2pm.

Four Delegates, together with Rev. Kate and Deacon Lani will represent St. Luke’s Parish at the Diocesan Convention in Vancouver, WA on October 27th and 28th.
The Sequim Food Bank provides Holiday Gift Baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’ a full holiday meal with turkey and all the fixings for a family. Each basket costs $45. Our Fifth Sunday NOISY CAN on October 29th is to purchase as many baskets as possible. Please be generous.
Join with Parishioners in a Vigil Prayer as our Search Committee continues their task of calling St. Luke’s new Rector. Prayers will be offered simultaneously as the committee meets on Monday, October 30th at 1pm in the Chapel or from your home.
You are invited to a Harvest Festival Dinner in the Parish Hall on Wednesday, November 1st at 5pm. There will be a full dinner, wine and entertainment. You don’t need to bring anything, bur please sign up in the Parish Information Center so we can get an accurate count for food & drink.
Little Sisters of St. Clare will gather in the Chapel on Friday, November 3rd at 10:00am. Please contact Lani Hubbard or Judy Kenyon for more information on this religious order.
SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN TRAINING, Saturday, November 4th 9am-noon in the Parish Hall. Please contact Sue Clary for information and call Laura in the office to register. There is no charge for this course and is required for clergy monastics, employees, vestry and all who work with children or youth.
David Melvin and Jean Pratschner will present another Emergency Preparedness 101 class in the Sunshine Room after the 10 am service on November 5.
Bazaar Workshop is in need of Lavender for projects. With the date of the Holiday Bazaar (Nov. 11th) getting closer, help is also needed to make Christmas items (fabric and other handiworks.) Meet on Mondays 10am-1pm in the Parish Hall…bring a lunch and your ideas…all are welcome to join the group for crafts and fellowship. Contact Roberta Griset or Kay Schiller for more information.
